The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the UMU, Guillermo Diaz, along with the general director of Books, Archives and Libraries, Francisco Giménez, and course directors, Alfonso Garcia and Lourdes Gordillo, have closed during the International University of the Sea "Philosophy as practical knowledge, paideia and art of thinking" that has developed during these days in the Socio-Cultural Center "La Prison" in Totana.
Both the Vice-Chancellor and the mayor of Totana thanked the involvement of 22 students who participated in the course, and expand their knowledge in these days about philosophy, also useful to know the town.
During this course, which ends this afternoon, the teachers have tried to convey the importance of knowledge and philosophical reflection that helps them live better and to highlight the issues raised by individual freedom and society.
In this way, students have taken an active role in reflecting on acquired knowledge and its implementation to replan a new way of learning to reflect on the information received.
