The Governing Council has approved the reinforcement of home help service for dependents in the municipality of Totana , which will allow it to be expanded by 11,100 hours, with an additional investment of 98,290 euros, according to regional government sources in a statement.

The previous agreement contemplated 18,496 hours of personal attention and 18,436 hours of domestic attention, which will increase by 5,550 hours in both cases to guarantee the specialized assistance needed by dependents within their usual environment.

The validity of this new agreement covers from April 1 to November 30, 2019. The total funding, once the hours of service are increased, amounts to 425,854 euros.

The objective is to increase the degree of social protection to the elderly in the municipality and meet their needs according to population growth.
