The Special Committee on Poverty and Social Exclusion is set June to close the appearances and to agree on the motions for resolutions (20/02/2018)

The Special Committee on Poverty and Social Exclusion has closed, in a meeting held this morning, the calendar of appearances for the current session that will end next July with the agreement of the motions for resolutions.

The president of the Commission and deputy of the PP, Inmaculada González, has advanced that the next week will appear representatives of the RAIS Foundation, a social initiative entity that works so that nobody has to live in the open.

Likewise, the appearances of Amnesty International and Intermón Oxfam have been ordered for next March.

The testimonies of the representatives of Cáritas, Food Bank, Proyecto Abraham, the General Director of the Family and the Minister of Finance and Public Administration will also be available.

Inmaculada González has stated that the intention is for the president of EAPN to close the hearings, giving an account of the latest report that he has submitted to the Family and Equal Opportunities Council.

The popular deputy has been in favor of the Commission continuing to operate regardless of whether resolution proposals are agreed, while there is a risk of social exclusion we must continue working to make proposals to the regional government to help alleviate the situation, he said.
