The Local Government Board has recently approved the initiation of the file to contract sanitary water analysis services for human consumption, legionellosis control and public swimming pools, among others.
This agreement is established in view of the request of the Councilor for Water and Sewerage, Antonia Camacho, to carry out the contract for water analysis services for human consumption, control of legionellosis, analytical control of the waters of public pools, training of personnel of the municipal water service and supply of reagents for sanitary control of water for human consumption.
This measure is set since the City Council lacks the necessary technical and human resources to carry out the necessary and obligatory analyzes for the sanitary control of drinking water, swimming pools, municipal facilities, as well as the sectoral authorizations necessary for the delivery of the required training courses.
The purpose of the contract is to take samples, carry out analytical tests for the sanitary control of the water supply for human consumption of the municipality of Totana established in RD 140/2003, the sanitary surveillance plan and the performance of the analytics to determine the presence of legionella pneumophila in municipal facilities.
In addition, the analytical control of public swimming pool waters is established in accordance with RD 742/2013, the assignment of field equipment for the disinfection and organoleptic controls of water for human consumption, the supply of reagents for the implementation of disinfection controls for drinking water, the provision of training courses for workers of the municipal water service of Totana and technical advice on water for human consumption to the Municipal Water Service of Totana.
The defined contract is mixed because it contains benefits corresponding to a service contract and a supply contract, but the nature of the rendering of services is much more important, therefore it is classified as an administrative service contract.
The duration of the contract will be two years, and may be extended annually for another two years, in total four years of the contract, including extensions by express agreement of the contracting body.
