More than 400 people participate this summer in the activities planned within the "Totana Verano '2017" (25/08/2017)

More than 400 people, among children and young people, participated during the months of July and August in the different activities organized within the program "Totana Verano'2017", promoted by the Youth Department and in collaboration with several associations and entities that come Developing activities in the field of leisure and leisure, sports and training.

68% of the participants were children between the ages of 3 and 12.

The activities most demanded in this age group have been the Camp of Sierra Espuña with 107 children distributed, having to make two shifts;

The Summer School Holidays 3.0 with more than 120 children;

DeportyArte-Lébor with 21 and the Kitchen Workshop with 40 participants.

In the Workshops of Plastic Arts (painting and sculpture) and Break Dance have participated around 25 children between 7 and 16 years.

And for children also, preferably, accompanied by adults, a trip was made to the Park of Tentegorra in which 30 people participated.

For young people over 18 years old, traditional, is the realization of the Archaeological Work Field in the "Las Cabezuelas" Field, which is in its fourth edition and which involved 30 young volunteers.

The most demanding activities have been Sierra Espuña Camp, which has seen an increase in the number of participants, compared to previous years, Holidays 3.0 Summer Edition (known as Summer Schools) and the Creative and Fun Kitchen Workshop, in which they have participated A total of 335 boys and girls.

The Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, thanked the involvement of associations and entities that have collaborated in the organization and development of this summer leisure program.

Participating associations

These associations and entities have been the following: Collective for Social Promotion El Candil, which organizes Summer Schools Holidays 3.0;

UTE Ecoespuña-La Hojarasca, that organizes the Camp of Sierra Espuña in collaboration with the Tourist Association of Sierra Espuña;

Leisure and Leisure Association The Caja de Pandora, which organizes the Creative Cooking Workshop and Trip to the Tentegorra Adventure Park;

Asociación Caja de Luz, which organizes the Workshop of Plastic Arts;

Air Ministers Association, which organizes the Break Dance Initiation Workshop;

Association for the Social and Tourist Promotion of Totana Kalathos that organizes "IV Field of Archaeological Work in the Field of the Cabezuelas";

And El Cañico Cultural Association, organizes the Descent by the Segura River.
