The Accompaniment Program for Social Inclusion (PAIN) has prompted the attention of 39 residents of the municipality in a situation of serious risk or social exclusion, according to sources in the Department of Social Welfare.
The Accompaniment Program for Social Inclusion has been constituted as a reference and operational resource in the development of actions against social exclusion suffered by various people and groups in the locality.
These people often lack family and social support given their serious personal problems, such as drug addiction, mental illness, exreclusos, prostitution, and so on.
In this sense, the beneficiaries hardly participate or are incorporated into standardized resources of the community (labor, health, education, among others) given their lack of knowledge and social and personal skills to do so, which causes them to deteriorate health and Situation of social isolation.
The program, through the joint approach with the user of insertion itineraries and the use of socio-educational techniques, tries to compensate for this lack of natural support through an intervention philosophy based on the proximity and accessibility of the user.
The most important interventions carried out by the social worker and a social educator have been focused on solving the most urgent needs of these people, the strengthening of their social networks and networks, and their Physical accompaniment for the access and positive use of the resources of the environment.
