The Autonomous Community grants aid to companies in the Region that receive non-work practices of young people in the framework of the Youth Guarantee program (02/08/2017)

The Ministry of Employment, Universities and Enterprise, through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) grants 2,400 euros to companies in the Region of Murcia that welcome the non-work practices of young people between 18 and 25 years old who do not Are studying or working and are enrolled in Youth Guarantee.

The Department of Economic Development and Employment of Totana City Council reports on this initiative which has been published in the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia (BORM), number 137 dated June 16, 2017, subsidies for non-work practices for young beneficiaries Of the National Youth Guarantee Program.

The conditions of this assistance are that these practices last for at least six months (this type of relationship can only last between three and nine months) and that the company pays the young person at least 110% of the Public Indicator of Multiple Effects Income (IPREM ) Monthly, ie, 585 euros.

A total of € 267,245 is earmarked for these grants, which companies can apply to the SEF until October 16, 2017. Throughout the period that the young person is in the company, must be accompanied and supervised by a tutor.

Participants must be unemployed and enrolled in SEF offices.

In addition, they must have an official university degree, a vocational training degree or a certificate of professionalism, and it is necessary that they have not had a working relationship or other professional experience of more than three months in the same activity.

Companies can locate these young people on their own or they can go to the SEF offices, where they will be provided with candidates who adapt to the requirements they are looking for.

One of the conditions that is taken into account from the SEF is that these practices are directly related to the degree taken.

In order for a young person to engage in non-work practices in a company, the company must have previously established an agreement with the SEF.

During its term, the company can sign practice agreements with as many young people as it wishes, provided that the conditions set out in the agreement are met.

Thus, during the past year 254 agreements of this type were signed with companies in the Region, so that seven out of ten young people are hired.

Seventy percent of young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who engage in non-labor practices in the Region of Murcia are hired by the company in which they develop these practices or by another, according to data from the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Business .

Specifically, 50% of the participants are hired by the same company in which they exercise their activity, either before the end of the internship period or when that term ends.

For their part, 20% are hired by different companies.
