The Department of Education and Culture of the City of Totana reports that last June 5 took place in the Consistory totanero a meeting that allowed the formal constitution of the Advisory Council of the Permanent Headquarters for University Extension of the University of Murcia in this municipality.
Among them were the Mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánovas, the Vice-Rector of Training of the University of Murcia, Pedro Miralles, and the director of the headquarters, María Martínez.
At this meeting, the agreement was made to hold an exhibition in Totana on the 100 years of history of the University of Murcia.
The exhibition will take place next September and will be inaugurated with a conference of the director of the headquarters, the professor totanera María Martínez.
The exhibition will be open to the public and, in particular, the students and teachers of Bachillerato will be invited.
Likewise, the possible accomplishment of some course of the International University of the Sea, sponsored by the University of Murcia, in the municipality of Totana was approached.
Also the possible realization of different activities of cultural character in the municipality of Totana, promoted by the University of Murcia was treated.
