The Department of Economic Development, Promotion and Employment has recently completed the course "Personal Hygiene and Security and Home Health Care", which was launched last May 8 at the Center for Local Development of Totana, organized by The State Association of People and Caregivers in the Rural Environment "Intergenerational Solidarity".
This training was financed by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, in collaboration with the Department of Economic Development, Development, Employment and Industry of the City of Totana and counting with the collaboration of the Coordinator of Organizations of Farmers and Cattlemen ( COAG), with a total of 60 hours in duration.
The objective of this initiative has been to train non-professional caregivers of dependent people, as well as any other person who intends to direct their professional life towards this sector, so that at the end of their learning they are prepared to carry out this work.
A total of eleven participating students have acquired basic training necessary to attend people in a situation of dependency, as well as knowledge about aging, necessary care and basic skills to possess, giving them an official diploma at the end of the course.
From the Department of Economic Development, Development, Employment and Industry of the City of Totana, are giving more training actions of this subject and others.
Shortly, courses will begin on Basic and Qualified Phytosanitary, a course of Cleaning for over 45 years and a course of Auxiliary Operations for young people up to 29 years.
