The "Inkeys" group celebrates its 15th anniversary with a concert next Saturday at the Centro Tecnológico de Artesanía (10/05/2017)

The totanero group "Inkeys" celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with a concert on Saturday, May 13, to be held in the avenue Rambla de La Santa, in front of the Technological Center of Crafts of this locality.

The activity will start at 7:00 p.m. and will feature the guest artists "Todoindie djs" and "The Hijel", organized by the association "Sonimagina. Culture and Leisure for the new reality" and within the program of Activities "Totana Cultural", promoted by the Department of Culture.

During the concert is scheduled to record a video for the release of his new album.

Musical trajectory

"Inkeys" is a group of Spanish indie, originally from the town of Totana.

Formed in early 2004 by Juan Francisco Belchí, Javi Cano, Francisco Garcia and José Zamora after sharing space in different previous bands.

They recorded their first work, "It's a Reaction" under the direction of Raúl de Lara, producer of bands like "Second" and with the collaboration of SeanFrutos, singer of the latter.

In this time they participate in the two editions of Popmission Festival, in the I Sample of alternative music Microsonidos, and in the cycle Know your scene, being also finalist osemifinalists in each occasion in regional competitions like Young Mula or Young Murcia.

In early 2005, a fifth member joined the group, Pedro Miguel Jiménez (Suker), to take over keyboards and programming.

In 2006, Juan Francisco Belchí leaves the band by a very short period.

In this impás is replaced by Emilio Martín of "The Yellow Teeth Band" taking charge of the bass and of the voice integrating finally like third guitarist when Belchí returns.

During this second stage, the group participates with a song in the 2008 edition of Estrella de Levante's CD, and is a finalist of national contests as the best revelation group, from the Extremadura festival Contempopranea.

In 2008, as a sextet and again under the production of Raul de Lara record "XI reasons to lose sleep", in the studios-Neo Music Box of Aranda de Duero.

This second album was very well received by means of diffusion as Radio 3 and indie press (180 Degrees, Captain Demo, Today Starts Everything, Mondosonoro) causing the group to play in different festivals like SOS 4.8, Sonorama and Electromar.

They participated in a new edition of the festival microsonidos with national and international artists, playing by several rooms of levante and adjudicating the victory between more than two hundred bands of the contest talentS.OS, organized by the festival SOS 4.8 of Murcia that takes to them to open the edition Of 2010.

In that same year they present their "One and Again" EP with two new tracks and a version of Radiohead's "No Surprises".

They continue to tour the Region of Murcia and the rest of the country, participating in different festivals and giving different format concerts (Villa de Bilbao, Radio Concerts 3)

As of 2011, the style of "Inkeys" is becoming more eclectic, dark and differentiated from the indie of its beginnings and the themes are gaining maturity.

In the year 2014 they draw a disc desingles in homage to the 10 years of the formation of the group and they decide to return to the study to give form to those subjects, this time of the hand of the producer Jose Ludeña and record what will be its third long duration, Which will be published in the fall of 2015 under the name of "Catastrophy".

At the end of the album, guitarist Francisco Garcia leaves the group leaving three albums and several music videos for the band.

Now, again as a quintet, prepare the presentation tour of his new album as well as other projects.
