The deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Alfonso Martínez Baños has filed a motion in the Regional Assembly requesting the regional government to build the definitive link of the RM-3 with the A-7, with prior authorization from the Ministry of Development, and with the Objective of guaranteeing all the security requirements required for this type of connection.
In July of 2007 the RM-3 was opened that unites Totana with Mazarrón by means of a motorway.
Martinez Baños said that after much controversy, it was decided that the motorway would link with the A-7 at the height of RM-31, which had a budget of 57 million euros and a length of 23 kilometers.
"At that time a provisional link was made from A-7 to RM-3, since the projects of the link proposed by the regional government were not approved by the Ministry of Development," assuring that in a few weeks, at most Months, the definitive link would be built. "
The socialist deputy denounces "that 10 years have passed and we continue with a temporary link, which does not meet all the necessary road safety requirements".
It is especially referred to in the accesses from the A-7 of the vehicles that circulate in the direction Murcia-Lorca to the RM-3, that are forced to make a dangerous turn to the left for its incorporation to this route.
