On April 25, our children and young people have enjoyed the San Marcos holiday, typical of our locality, with the traditional country day ("sanmarqueo") and the tasting of the "garabazo".
The minors have lived the activity with a great illusion, enjoying the "throwing of the stone" and "breaking the egg of the scabbard" typical of the day.
Good atmosphere and fun have been the protagonists.
The students were able to enjoy this traditional party in the gardens located next to the social housing of the Avenida de Lorca and El Parral, where every afternoon they carry out their activities.
There were distributed more than 50 spoonbones with chocolate for snacking.
A beautiful afternoon in which the popular traditions of the municipality were introduced to the little ones.
This resource is part of the actions aimed at children developed in the Project on Socio-educational Intervention with Families and Minors in a Socially Disadvantaged Situation, subsidized by the CARM Family and Equal Opportunities Department, in collaboration with the City Council of Totana, which has been developing the El Candil Collective since October 2014. This project has as its main objective the adequate attention of minors and provide coverage to the vital needs for optimal development, as well as support to the families served.
