The People's Party of Totana presented a motion to the February plenary session urging the City Council to request the aid programs for Urban Regeneration and Renewal (ARRU) within the Housing Plan 2017 after the publication in BORM, Decree No. 8 / 2017, dated January 25, by which it extends for a year Decree No. 5/2015, of January 30, which regulates the Regional Plan for Housing Rehabilitation 2014-2016.
The Regional Housing Rehabilitation Plan 2014-2016 entered into force on February 4, 2015 and included, among other assistance, a program to promote regeneration and urban renewal.
These grants consist of subsidies for building rehabilitation in previously delimited fields of action that require a comprehensive action, under the conditions established in Royal Decree 233/2013, of April 5 and in the regulatory bases and conventions that the Ministry competent in matters Housing.
The regeneration and urban renewal promotion programs (ARRU) seek to carry out a comprehensive action to rehabilitate the urban tissues and degraded areas of the municipalities.
Its purpose is to improve public spaces through the urbanization and redevelopment of the urban environment of the municipality, which are beneficiaries of this line of aid within the Housing Plan.
This area of ​​action should be delimited by the City Council for being associated with situations of social exclusion, in order to achieve its recovery and integration and improve the living conditions of its neighbors, which was carried out in the extraordinary plenary held this month .
It is a dynamic element of the construction sector and the economy and, therefore, the creation of employment and wealth.
During the legislatures of the People's Party from 2003 to 2015, action programs have been carried out in the regeneration and rehabilitation of housing, with the City Council of Totana being supported by the Housing Plans that have been approved, as in the case of Housing Plan 2005-2008 in which the Regeneration Plan of façades and roofs was carried out for an amount of performances above 300.000,00 €.
Subsequently, the ARI (Integral Rehabilitation Area) of San Roque y las Parras was carried out in the 2009-2012 housing plan, in which the neighbors were able to rehabilitate their homes, as well as more façade rehabilitation actions, such as The actions carried out in the C / Mayor Triana.
On the other hand within this Housing Plan are managed conditions of access to protected housing, housing development support, building rehabilitation, grants financed by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, so that from the Municipal Group Popular will request the City Council to enable the necessary means so that the neighbors can have information and help in the management of their requests, as was done in previous legislatures of the Popular Party in which it was empowered from the Department of Housing An office for the provision of necessary information and management.
