The Council of the Municipal Water Service of Totana is going to raise a motion at the December plenary session to request the General Directorate for Water of the Autonomous Community to finance the installation of a sewerage section in the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood which has problems of Floods when rainfall occurs.

The motion of the councilor Antonia Camacho Crespo proposes to approve the report valued drafted by the municipal water service technician to carry out the project and undertake the work.

In addition, it is proposed to request the Directorate General of Water, as emergency and urgent work, the financing of the drafting of the project and execution of the works to install the sewerage section as a reinforcement to the current one in the street Carmen Conde of said neighborhood.

The motion points out that for several years there has been an endemic problem in the lower area of ​​the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood, at the height of Carmen Conde street, when rainfall occurs in the urban center of Totana for small rainfall.

The pipeline that runs through the plains and sanitation of the Tyrol area to the emissary that runs along Carmen Conde Street has seen in recent years the contributions of neighborhoods such as Cuartel, El Parral, San Francisco, Ramblica and Including the urbanization "La Charca".

These increases mean that the pipeline does not assume the water that comes from the different districts because of the small size and the poor state of that section of pipeline, according to the municipal technical report.

With the initiative, it is intended to solve this serious problem in a definitive way, reinforcing the network of water evacuation with the installation of a section parallel to the existing one with a dimension of 800 millimeters in diameter.

The budget made by the municipal technician amounts to 136,417.15 euros and the City Council, at the moment, does not have the economic resources to face this urgent work that would eliminate the danger of floods and nuisances of the residents of Tyrol Camilleri when it rains in The town of Totana.
