This Thursday, November 24, coinciding with the celebration of Children's Rights Day, the first Children's Day will be held in Totana, where the mayor's office will be elected in 2016, an initiative promoted by the Councils of Education and Youth to culminate the project Called "Children's Plenary: La Totana we want", which seeks to promote the values ​​of democratic participation of schoolchildren in schools in this municipality.

The project is aimed at the students of 5th and 6th of Primary Education and 1st and 2nd of ESO;

And in the same has developed a calendar of actions in which the schools "Santa Eulalia", "La Milagrosa", "La Cruz", "Reina Sofia", "Tierno Galván", "Comarcal-Deitania" Santiago".

The development of the educational process has been carried out in the schools of Totana, so that last November 10 elections were held for children's councilors, from which left the 21 children who will represent their centers in the First Municipal Children's Plenary.

The institutional event will take place next Thursday in the municipal plenary hall and during the same the mayor, the councilors of Education and Youth and the municipal spokesmen who will constitute the table of children's plenary, will leave their seats to child councilors.

The session will begin giving voice to each of the presentations presented by the spokespersons of each educational center, which will revolve around the theme "La Totana we want".

Then, by voting, they will proceed to choose the project of the center that they consider and the councilman for children who heads the list of said center will be appointed mayor.

Once it is imposed the band that accredits it as mayor for children, it will read the single document, prepared and agreed upon among all the participating centers, expressing the needs detected and the improvement projects proposed by the child councilors and to be addressed at the City Hall .

In addition, it will be put to vote its approval, and then will deliver the document to the mayor of Totana.

At the end of the Children's Plenary, the mayor, councilors and children's councilors will open a space for the exchange of opinions, where children will be able to express their views on the current situation and their needs.
