The Department of Sports reports that last Saturday November 12 took place the Local Phase Petanque Sports School, organized by this municipal department and the Petanque Club "Santa Eulalia", in the premises of said club.
In the competition participated 82 schoolchildren of the different schools of the locality, belonging to the categories Alevín and Open, in the modality by mixed equipment, formed by three students of the same center.
In the Alevín category, the "San José" School was in first place, followed by schools "La Milagrosa" and "Tierno Galván", in the second and third positions respectively.
On the other hand, in the Open category, the champion team was the IES "Prado Mayor B", followed by the IES "Prado Mayor A" in the second position, and the "La Milagrosa" College in third place.
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the first three teams classified in each of the categories, by the councilor of the City of Totana, Gertrudis Ruiz Tudela;
And the president of the Petanca Santa Eulalia Club, Diego Ángel Méndez Zabala.
Finally, the winning teams in this local phase are classified directly for the Regional Petanca Sports School Final, organized by the General Sports Department of the Region of Murcia, on February 11, in Alguazas.
