The Department of New Technologies has authorized a section (baner specific) in the municipal web site www.totana.es so that interested users have access and download without charge the Economic and Financial Study of the City of Totana within the actions of Transparency promoted by the municipal government.
The economic-financial external analysis of the City of Totana, released to public opinion last Friday, yields an updated municipal debt totaling 179.9 million euros.
This figure supposes a considerable increase with respect to the debt of 8.2 million euros that had the municipal coffers in 2003 when the PP reached the municipal government after a legislature governed by PSOE and IU.
Of this deficit, the majority corresponds to debt with suppliers, expenses related to deferrals with Social Security and Finance, loans with the Ministry of Finance and financial entities, among others.
In addition, it is planned, whenever the report is broken, to give an account of a detailed vision on the municipal economic situation to the associations and social and neighborhood groups of Totana during the celebration of a Municipal Council of Citizen Participation.
In this way, the ratio that derives from the current municipal debt, considering that the number of inhabitants of the municipality of Totana is 30,916, would be about 5,800 euros per inhabitant.
