The Sports Department organized last Saturday November 5, in the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez", the Local Phase of "Playing Athletics" School Sports, which involved 80 schoolchildren from different schools in the locality, both In male and female mode.
They had the opportunity to compete in several disciplines of the "Playing to Athletics" modality, such as triple jump, speed race, ball throw, jump rope, javelin throw and relay races.
The competition concluded with the awarding of trophies and medals to the three best rated schools, by the Town Planning Councilor Totana City Council, Carlos Ballester Méndez.
In the men's mode, CEIP "La Cruz" was champion, while "Santa Eulalia" and "Reina Sofía" occupied the second and third position respectively.
As for the women's modality, the champion team was the "Reina Sofía" College, second was the "Comarcal" and third the "San José".
Finally, the championship teams of this competition will have the opportunity to participate in the Regional Final of "Playing the Athletics" of School Sports, organized by the Directorate General of Sports of the Region of Murcia.
