The Center for Child Development and Early Intervention of Totana has served during the first half of 2016 to a total of 225 children with varying degrees of intensity in care (treatment, assessment and monitoring), according to sources of the Department of Social Welfare.
Of the total number of children served, 118 have received physiotherapy, speech therapy treatments 121 and 77 stimulatory intervention, representing a total of 2,170 hours of direct intervention with users.
The center is a service that caters to children between 0 and 6 years old, which may have some kind of difficulty related to different areas of child development (language, cognitive, psychomotor, social, among others).
Early Care approach has an important preventive component, on the one hand and interdisciplinary on the other;
so they are different from the professional disciplines involved: speech therapy, physical therapy, psychology or social work.
The center is located in the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood across from the clubhouse of the neighborhood;
and it is a municipally owned service, under the Department of Social Welfare;
and public and free.
Finance center is guaranteed by the Autonomous Community of Murcia and the city of Totana own.
