Totana Town Council, through the Municipal Drug Addiction Prevention Service has installed an Information Point in the Constitution Square on the occasion of World No Snuff held today;
as every year joining the campaign that promotes the World Health Organization (WHO).
This year 2016, WHO focuses on the celebration of World No Snuff Dí in pushing the neutral or generic packaging products snuff.
Australia was the first to apply the coun s neutral packaging in 2012, and this year will be implemented in Ireland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and Northern France.
In the Region of Murcia the data of the last European Health Survey in Spain 2014 show that snuff remains a major problem since 28.4% of the population smokes well on a daily basis (25.6%) or occasional (2.9%), the consumption them yet higher in men (30.5%) than women (26.3%) and higher than the national average (25.4%) in the case of women ( 20.5%).
