Students Compensatory Education Program "Occupational Classroom" Totana have participated in the second quarter in various activities to supplement their training in order to introduce them to the world of business and possible career paths to their training.
These have been made in the workshop of Cuisine and Pastry who are studying at present, in which the quarter began with two visits: one to the Agricultural Cooperative of Totana (COATO), where they could see in situ, the work carried out this company;
and another, the "San Juan Bosco" Institute of Lorca, where they could learn the program Vocational Training Kitchen and know the possibilities offered by this training as a future career opportunity as the practical workshop continuity Cuisine and Pastry.
The offered have been directed at training and prevention:
Drug -Charla, Internet and social networks, given by Sergeant Jose Calatayud as drug prevention based health education and work to stimulate the development of prevention those factors that usually have been more effective ..
-Charla On road safety, given by agents of the local police of the municipality, whose goal has been to educate young people about the risks of trafficking, the need for compliance and the use of safety features to prevent accidents .
In this sense, the agents have informed students about road rules Pedestrian both city and highway driving, the basic rules of the moped in urban and intercity roads, how to act in case of accident (the rule PAS, CPR, bleeding and burns, friendly part, etc.);
and alcohol and its effects at the wheel (causes of drinking and driving, what determines the rate of alcohol, legal, conducting alcohol tests and administrative offense and criminal sanction).
-Workshop Creativity "Learn to Cocin-Art".
Workshop on social skills and conflict resolution, given by Zaida Martínez, in order to sensitize and train the boys and girls, through a practical way, in skills self-esteem to help them identify feelings and emotions and help them in their social relations.
This educational compensation program is funded by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employment through the Service to Diversity in the Region of Murcia.
This lasts for one school year and takes place in the municipal facilities of the Center Sociocultural "Jail", whose coordination and monitoring of the Occupational Classroom is carried out between the City of Totana and the IES "Juan de la Cierva", the this course students are assigned.
