Users of the Day Centre for Persons with Mental Illness City of Totana, along with a group of participants of the Day Centre "Jose Moya Trilla" received last February 25 visit of professionals Specialty Care Center for Women Victims Totana violence (CAVI), those who gave them a talk on gender violence and equal education.
The activity is framed in the project of the center, specifically within the environmental awareness program and community resources.
The objective was to know the operation of this service through an information and awareness talk, given by psychologist Catherine Vidal and social worker Ruth Muñoz, where key aspects of coeducation was emphasized as the main root from which address prevention.
In addition, a group of eight users prepared a brief screening in which they exposed their classmates data related to the topic: news, statistics, types of violence, etc.
Information previously through communication and discussion workshop or computer, where aspects of education are prioritized and current values ​​worked.
With the talk of professionals CAVI and through images, short videos, and various explanations accompanied by everyday examples, users of both centers had the opportunity to address such an important and present in our society theme.
The day ended with the clarification of doubts and questions by several participants.
