The Mayor's Office decrees for prevention the closure, at least seven days, of the two Day Centers for the Disability of Totana due to the contagion by COVID-19 of a professional (19/09/2020)

| The properties will be disinfected immediately and will be valued next week if the individualized attention of users continues since the IMAS decided to resume the service on September 14 | The mayor, Juan José Cánovas, has decreed today the closure, at least for the next seven days for prevention, of the two Day Centers for Disability of Totana, both located in the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood, after recently detecting a positive by COVID-19 to a professional. The appearance of the contagion has been known after the detection tests that the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS) made to the professionals of these services as a result of the beginning of the activity in the centers decreed by this body of the Ministry of Women, Equality , LGTBI, Families and Social Policy on September 14 after its initial postponement. The users, who have already been informed along with their relatives of this decision of the Mayor's Office, had been receiving individualized service on alternate days, in some cases in person and in others electronically at their homes, depending on the personal will of your families.Professionals who have been working in both centers will not be quarantined as there has been no direct contact with the infected, following the recommendations of both the IMAS and the Murcian Health Service. The first mayor has announced that both buildings will be disinfected immediately and it will be assessed next week if the service continues through the individualized attention of the users -now remotely- that has been done since the IMAS decided to resume the service on 14 September.Currently, between the two Day Centers for the Disability of Totana, 53 users are being served by a total of 18 professionals. As during this time all the regulatory protocols for prevention and care of sanitary measures had been kept, only the user who received personalized attention from the infected person is quarantined.Initially, the IMAS communicated to the Totana City Council in early September the need to delay the opening of the Day Centers for Disability due to the epidemiological situation caused by the health crisis as a result of COVID-19, and its postponement to September 14 .
