| All those infected by the outbreak have already received hospital discharge, although some people from the environment will continue in home isolation | The Autonomous Government of the Region of Murcia will formally request the Ministry of Health tomorrow that the municipality of Totana start phase 2 of the transition to new normality on Monday after the favorable evolution of the outbreak of infected two weeks ago, reason why it will advance along with the rest of the municipalities of the Autonomous Community, which will continue for the moment on this same step of the de-escalation.This has been announced by the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, at a public appearance in the plenary hall, whose measure has been known after the last report of the Public Health and Epidemiology Service of the Ministry of Health, in which it has also been decided that , for the moment, the territorial set of the Autonomous Community remains, for prudence, in phase 2.The president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, has communicated this morning to the councilman from Totanero; to whom he thanked for his effort and commitment in this situation of attrition but necessary from the epidemiological point of view.Totana did not pass this Monday to phase 2 of the de-escalation, being the only territory to remain in phase 1 of the Region, as a result of the epidemiological outbreak registered last week in this municipality, whose situation is evolving positively. The eleven residents of Totana who have remained in isolation at the Lorca Beach Volleyball High Performance Center (CAR) for the last fifteen days have left the facilities after failing the coronavirus test.

They had to confine themselves after the outbreak detected among their coworkers and have been under strict sanitary control all this time. The Totana outbreak forced six of the infected farm laborers into the Virgen del Alcázar de Lorca hospital, four of whom were from the same family. The heads of the regional government have told the mayor that, based on the epidemiological data collected, he will request to go to phase 2 of Totana from Monday. However, the mayor has warned that "we must all remain on alert" and recalled that "recovering more opportunities implies maintaining hygiene and prevention measures."In this sense, he has detailed that "two of the six admitted patients have been discharged with the negative PCR test and the other 9 people who have been in contact are going to continue in home isolation." Lastly, he reiterated that "we trust our citizens to keep their distance and the use of masks, since we do not have to let our guard down."
