Last Thursday, the remuneration of the entire local corporation was agreed by a majority.
To emphasize that the position of the platform was abstention since the numbers are very stubborn and our proposal was undoubtedly the most economical for the battered municipal coffers;
but of course in eliminating subsidies to political parties if they all agree to continue collecting them month after month.
The annual amount in subsidies to political parties is € 42,800.
But we are going to what we are going, that we imagine that citizens will want to know what the "salaries" of politicians will cost all neighbors, and we will try to explain it as it says: "easy, simple and for all the family".
The approved proposal was presented by the PSOE of Totana and consists of:
1. The local government will cost us a year:
Mayor (€ 38,000) + 4 councilors released (€ 91,790.00) + social security cost (€ 25,832) gives us a total of = € 154,992
The councilors will charge € 22,790 annually distributed in 14 payments.
Therefore A monthly amount of € 1628 with its corresponding extra payments.
One of them will not have exclusive dedication and therefore will charge as the other councilors indicated below.
2. The councilors in the opposition will charge according to concept:

Extraordinary Plenary € 180
Permanent Information Commission € 60
Local Government Board € 160
Board of Spokesmen 60 €
That is, at least one councilor from the rest of the political groups will charge 520 euros per month.
520 x 17 councilors = 8840 per month for 11 months (since August is non-working) = Annual total € 97240.
Logically this amount will be increased, if there is an extraordinary plenary session, a new information commission or a new board of spokespersons.
We will try to report what the opposition to the municipal coffers is costing monthly.
Finally, as regards the economic issue, that the councilors and the mayor of the government team have the right to receive these assignments from the date of taking office (07/15/19) until their incorporation as councilors released with contract.
