A total of 3,592 students of Infant and Primary Education began the 2019/2020 school year with normality in the eleven schools of the municipality of Totana, according to sources from the Department of Education of the City Council.

Of these, 1,179 students were incorporated into Early Childhood Education and 2,413 did so in Primary Education courses, although this figure can be substantially modified in the next few days until the Totana educational centers do not close the final schooling of students for This course

The Councilor for Education, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez, will make a detailed balance of the beginning of the 2019/2020 school year in the municipality in the next few days, once he has all the definitive and updated schooling data;

as well as information about this new school period in the Infant and Primary Education centers of the municipality.

In Totana the teachings of Infant and Primary Education are taught in the schools "Santa Eulalia", "Santiago", "Comarcal-Deitania", "Luis Pérez Rueda", "Tierno Galván", "San José", "La Cruz", "Reina Sofía", "La Milagrosa", "Guadalentín" in El Paretón and the one in Lébor.

On the other hand, in the Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate centers the official start of the course will be on September 13 while in Vocational Training it will start on September 17.

This course each municipality has re-made its school calendar adapting its school days to local peculiarities and families themselves.

In fact, some Murcia municipalities began the course last week, as they have had the possibility to set the calendar in the different non-university education, holiday periods and non-school days.

In this way, they have to have 178 school days in Infant and Primary, 175 in Secondary and 167 in Vocational Training.

The completion date of the school year in these teachings will be: June 26, 2020 in Infant and Primary Education, and June 24 in the cases of Secondary and Baccalaureate;

and on June 19 in the case of the FP.

In addition, school holiday periods would be those from December 23 to January 7, 2020 (Christmas), and April 6 to 17, 2020 (Holy Week).
