The Local Government Board has approved the proposal of the council of Finance and Contracting, Ana María Cánovas, to initiate the tender procedure aimed at carrying out the renovation works of the stretch of the supply and sanitation network on San Ramón Street. location.
The agreement includes processing the bidding process for this contract through the ordinary, simplified open summary procedure with the price as the sole award criterion;

The Law Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime establishes that the municipalities must provide, in any case, the services of public lighting, cemetery, waste collection, street cleaning, household drinking water supply, sewerage, access to population centers and paving of public roads, among others.
In addition, it is agreed that the report of the councilor of the Municipal Water and Sewerage Service justifying the need to contract the renewal of the supply and sanitation network section in San Ramón Street, due to "the poor state of the current network, both of water potable as sanitation, assuming the breakage of these a serious problem for neighbors and even the cutting of a basic service such as drinking water.
In the request for hiring the indicated Councilor indicates that the City of Totana lacks personnel and means to undertake this work, which is why it is considered that it must be contracted for the amount of 47,995.99 euros.
