The Local Government Board has agreed to start the file to hire the Catering and Dining services in the Municipal Center for the Elderly and Day Centers for Dependents of the City of Totana, and process the contract through an open procedure.
Totana City Council has a Senior Center where a dining room service is offered to members and two Day Centers for Dependent Elderly People (SED) in Balsa Vieja Square and Real Street, respectively.
The Consistory totanero has recently approved a new collaboration agreement with the Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS) for the provision of Day Center services for Dependent Elderly in its territorial scope during the years 2019 and 2020.
According to the obligations of the agreement for the provision of these services, Day Centers must offer their users a maintenance service, which includes breakfast, lunch and snack.
Given that the City Council does not have the human and material resources to provide this service, it is considered necessary to hire the Catering and Dining services in the Municipal Center for the Elderly and the Day Centers for Elderly Dependents of this local entity.
