Around three hundred people attended the 6th AELIP Awards Gala (07/10/2018)

Around three hundred people attended the annual Gala Dinner of the Association of Relatives and People Affected by Lipodystrophies (AELIP), during which the AELIP 2018 Awards were presented.

With these awards, AELIP has wanted to recognize and thank entities, companies or individuals who collaborate in helping with their actions to improve the quality of life of those affected and their families and disseminate the needs and demands of this group that needs support. of all.

This year the awards went to the Peña Barcelonista de Macisvenda in the category of Solidarity, while in the Citizen Participation went to the Association of Drummers of Mula.

The interpreter and interpreter Ginesa María Acosta Urrea received the Volunteer award for her collaboration with the international project of AELIP, the neuropediatrician Helena Alarcón, the Research and the Patrulla Águila, the institutional support for getting involved with AELIP, making and recording an acrobatic maneuver with her C-101 planes drawing on the sky an L to show their support to all the families and people who live with Lipodystrophy in the world.

For its part, the newspaper La Opinion received the prize to recognize the work of a Media, for their help in disseminating the actions and activities of AELIP.

In addition, the District School Deitania de Totana was awarded in the category Educational Center for its work of sensitization towards lipodystrophies;

Dr. Rosario Domingo received the Honorary Member;

the Permondo association was awarded in the modality of Company, Club or Solidarity Association for its collaboration in the translation of the web pages of AELIP;

and the World Day Special Mention was given to UCAM Basket for its contribution to giving visibility to World Lipodystrophy Day.

The gala was attended by the president of AELIP, Naca Eulalia Pérez de Tudela;

the president of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER), Juan Carrión;

members of the AELIP board of directors;

the mayor of Totana, Andrés García, and other councilors of the municipal corporation.

During the meal, in addition, a video about AELIP and the work that this association develops in favor of those affected by lipodystrophies and their families was screened.

On the other hand, the solidarity of various shops in Totana, Murcia and Mazarrón allowed to organize a solidarity charity raffle and a fashion show for children and youth was also held.

Likewise, Felix "El lechero" entertained the event with his music.

From AELIP we want to thank all the people who attended and collaborated so that this gala dinner could be a reality.

In addition, the association wants to show its gratitude to all the people who made contributions to row zero.
