The first deputy mayor, Juan José Cánovas, and the Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, attended last Friday the commemoration of the XXV Anniversary of the Murcia Federation of Student Associations (Femae), during a grand gala held in the Moneo de Murcia building.
The gala welcomed many of the people who have been part of the federation during its quarter of a century of life;
and about 200 students participated, coming from several municipalities of the Region, among them Totana, as well as from other autonomous communities.
The event also served as an act of farewell to its president, Miguel Lajarín.
This one counted, among other authorities, with the presence of the general director of Youth, Francisco Javier Sánchez, and the rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, and in which they gave their prizes to people and entities for their support to this type of education.
In addition, the first deputy mayor and the youth councilor were honored for their institutional support for Femae in this municipality and in the Guadalentín region, as well as the IES student "Prado Mayor", Sara López Avellaneda;
and the "Forum Education and Emotion", which had the involvement and momentum of the Department of Education of the City of Totana, and which has become a regional and regional benchmark in educational innovation.
