The General Directorate of Youth of the Autonomous Community, with the collaboration of the Department of the branch of the City of Totana, will offer the Course of Leisure Monitor and Free Time;
which will be held from Friday, September 28 to Saturday, January 26, 2019.
The Councilor for Youth, Inmaculada Blázquez, has given an account of the characteristics of the course within the "Soy Monitor" initiative, which will benefit a total of 14 municipalities in the Region of Murcia, including Totana.
The course will be taught by the School of Animation and Education in Leisure Time "Cultural Habitat" and is aimed at people over 17 years old at the beginning of this training, and not less than 18 to receive the corresponding diploma, with an academic background Minimum of Graduated School, Graduated in the ESO or its academic equivalent.
The initiative lasts 250 hours, of which 160 are theoretical and 90 are practical;
and the schedule is on Fridays, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
and Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The registration period is from July 18 to September 25 and the price of the course is 90 euros, a reduced fee given that both the General Directorate of Youth and the municipalities involved directly pay an economic match to participating schools so that the young people have to pay a lower figure.
The councilor recalled that his department was already interested in doing this course, since it responds to the high interest that exists among the youth of Totana to exercise as a monitor in free time activities organized for children and young people.

The theoretical face-to-face part consists of 160 hours and only 20% of the hours can be missed.
The other 90 hours are practical and you have 2 years to complete them.
