The lack of transparency and occultism of the Mayor, make the file have to go ahead in Board of Government with the vote of quality of the Mayor, after the opposition of his Government partner.
Last Thursday, July 5 and again in summer the Mayor proceeded to advance the file, processing in the Governing Board the Proposal of the Town Planning Council informing favorably the request for Public Interest Declaration for the implementation of Commercial Park in Land not developable, Diputación de la Ñorica, Paraje del Salar, resulting approved with the vote against IU-Ganar Totana, and with the vote of Mr. Mayor, Andrés García.
As we have denounced on numerous occasions, this file began last summer, as soon as Andrés García took office as Mayor, and was published on July 26, 2017 in the BORM, date from which and for a period of 20 days could be presented allegations by stakeholders and political groups.
The People's Party of Totana, as well as the Association of Merchants and Innkeepers of Totana and other Political Groups, presented a series of allegations in order to be admitted for processing by the Mayor and the processing of the public interest request to be stopped. the implantation of a Commercial Park in a non-developable estate next to the Industrial Estate.
None of these allegations was estimated and the file again expected to arrive the following summer to continue its process, the Mayor and his team use again the summer to try to "cover" the public interest grant file for the location of a park commercial in a rustic land next to the industrial estate "El Saladar".
With this approval, the green light is given to the file to continue its processing and whose ultimate goal is the implementation of a commercial park in the vicinity of the Saladar Industrial Estate, in a land that currently does not have the necessary urban qualification for this purpose, and causing a decrease in the equality of conditions with the companies located in the Polygon and that contribute to its development.
From the Popular Party we do not oppose initiatives that encourage economic activity, but we understand that the common interest must be above the private interest and we must avoid that damage to the Industrial Estate and defend the legitimate interests of owners who have already paid essential services, as well as establishing campaigns and promotion of the small and medium commerce of the municipality that is going through very difficult moments in these currently.
This type of actions suppose a comparative grievance for the rest of companies installed in the Industrial Estate, producing in all likelihood negative consequences for the future development of the area where said interest is located.
What Totana needs is a legal tool, such as the General Plan, approved, which would unlock hundreds of licenses and numerous economic activities in the Municipality.
For this, from the Popular Group we will request in full, together with the previous request, that the work begin jointly, by groups, to finish with the processing of the General Municipal Plan, and thus have sufficient economic development land in the Industrial Estate in equal conditions with the current companies located in it.
Finally, we will ask the Mayor to write a study, with the agents involved, to assess the suitability of the installation of a commercial park in the municipality.
Again and again, we point out that despite what they preach, the occultism and the lack of transparency in the municipal management of this socialist mayor have become their hallmark.
Occultism and lack of transparency on important issues such as the installation of a new commercial park, the bidding dossier and termination of the exploitation contract of the Marcos Ortiz Municipal Park cafeteria, the PGOU paralysis, among others.
