The Local Government Board has recently agreed that the management and revitalization of the sports courts located in the neighborhoods of the Upper Age, Tirol-Camilleri and next to the Regional School-Deitania, in the Olympic-Las Peras, be carried out by the Department sports.
Among the main objectives of the Department of Citizen Participation is the infrastructural support to citizens, groups and entities through the cession of municipal social premises for the development of non-profit activities that impact on the improvement of the quality of life of the neighbors and neighbors of the municipality, in the revitalization of neighborhoods and in the promotion of social, cultural, educational, etc. promotion.
In this sense, from the Department of Citizen Participation is carried out the cession of municipal social premises under the provisions of the guidelines for the regulation of the transfer and use of municipal social premises approved by the Local Government Board on 28 November of 2013.
In addition, attached to some of the social premises that are managed from the Department of Citizen Participation are located sports courts, facilities for sports practice, whose management is not within the area of ​​Citizen Participation.
This is the case of the social area of ​​the High Age, next to which is a sports track whose management, together with the revitalization of the social center, has been carried out by the Neighborhood Association until 14 February 2018. Currently, the Social premises are managed directly from the Citizen Participation area and the sports court and exterior toilets remain closed.
On the other hand, we find the sports track attached to the social area of ​​the Tirol-Camilleri neighborhood, a track that remains open and is used by neighborhood girls and boys, neighbors and neighbors and groups and entities for the practice of sports.
In order to have a light service on this sports track, it is necessary to access the social area, in order to request the use of the track with electric light, users should contact the awardee of the cafeteria service located in the social premises, since this is in charge of the concierge of the interior premises of the premises.
Currently, a new planning is being carried out with respect to the cafeteria service and the uses of the interior rooms of the social premises, which makes it necessary, among other aspects, to rethink the operation of the sports court.
Also, there are several requests that are received requesting authorization for the use of the sports track located next to the Regional School-Deitania, an installation that is not contemplated in the infrastructure management that is carried out from the Department of Citizen Participation.
