The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'XOCOLATL', an investigation established to clarify a robbery to an establishment in Totana, which has resulted in the arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the crime.
The operation, framed in the 'Plan for the improvement of the security in the sector of the commerce', began the past month of April with the aim of investigating a robbery with violence and intimidation committed in a public establishment of Totana.
The events took place in the early hours of the night, when a man, wearing a motorcycle helmet and a panty that covered his face, gloves and a military camouflage jacket, accessed the interior of the premises taking advantage of the fact that he was only an employee doing the cleaning tasks.
The robber, armed with a kitchen knife, took her by the arm, intimidated her with the knife, led her to the cash register and seized the cash that was in it.
A patrol of the Local Police of Totana, that was near the place, appeared in a few minutes in the establishment and found the employee sitting on the floor inside the counter, trembling and terrified.
The agents collected the first data and started a search device on the robber.
Thanks to citizen collaboration and research work, certain indications were obtained that pointed to a young person, a minor, who could be found after the crime was investigated.
Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained and the alleged perpetrator has been identified, the Civil Guard has located, detained and brought a minor to justice as the alleged perpetrator of robbery with violence and intimidation.
The investigation shows that the arrested person, who has been able to verify that he had been monitoring the premises prior to the materialization of the crime, presumably committed the robbery in a premeditated manner.
The detainee and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana and the Office of the Public Prosecutor for Minors of Murcia.
