The paving works on Moratalla Street (San Francisco neighborhood) will end this week;

while the renewal of the supply and sanitation networks in Sucre Street (the High Age neighborhood) will last for two months.

The mayor, Andrés García, and the councilors of Obras e Infraestructuras, Víctor Balsas, and the Municipal Water and Sewerage Service, Antonia Camacho, have recently visited both activities in order to learn first-hand the state of execution of the works, whose contracts are part of the Works and Services Plan of 2017.

The Local Government Board already awarded at the end of last year to the company "Constructions and Excavations Sánchez López, SLU", Murcia, for the price of 93,351.02 euros, the contract of these works included in the program promoted by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, in collaboration with the Totanero Consistory.

A total of 19 companies interested in its execution were submitted to the procurement procedure, with the bidder presenting the most advantageous bid.

The POS of 2017 contemplates the construction of a park in the neighborhood of San José, whose works will begin shortly;

and the aforementioned works on both roads, according to Councilman Víctor Balsas.

In addition, said the first are paving, with an area of ​​about 350 meters, Moratalla street one of the main roads in and out of the urbanization El Parral and San Francisco-;

and the others, about 500 meters in improving the supply and repair and repair of the road in the Sucre in its extension to Mexico Street, respectively, both in progress.

The councilor of Works and Infrastructure estimated, in this term, the investment works for the improvement of road infrastructure in the municipality of Totana in about 400,000 euros.

The mayor of the Municipal Water and Sewer Service commented that the Moratalla Street works are basically for improvement of the roadway because the supply and sanitation network is in good condition;

and said that the Sucre street will be undertaken in 3 sections, but without strikes, to cause minimal inconvenience to neighbors and users.

For his part, the mayor explained that these actions aim to correct the inequalities between neighborhoods and districts of Totana, by distributing the investments in all of them;

and advocated redistributing the little money that exists between the different urban spaces of Totana.
