The councilman of Social Welfare and Citizenship closing the "I days for intercultural dialogue and solidarity" (08/06/2010)

With these workshops we have tried to answer some of the results of the diagnostic phase (conducted between June 2008-October 2009), relating to the identification of the needs that people from Ecuador and Bolivia, local residents and they underscore the complex combination of factors at both the individual and collective, of the host society, as the conditions of insertion (not just work) these immigrants in the context totanero.

The mayor of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, closed these days along with the specialist at the University of Sevilla, Pilar Cruz, who explained that this new initiative aims to link research with social intervention from the university and apply to immigration.

For his part, Carrion stressed the importance of institutional collaborations with such local actions for the construction of spaces for reflection, encounter and exchange of experiences between indigenous people and immigrants, providing knowledge and tools to improve relationships and address the exclusion everyday.
