The Mayor and Councillor for Social Welfare are presented the diplomas of various workshops launched a project entitled "Labor" (17/05/2010)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo and Councilman Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, accompanied by responsible Collective "The Candle", have been delivered this morning of diplomas of courses in "Techniques of active job search," Basic Social Skills "," Training in hospitality "and" Child Care Assistant "more than thirty people who have been trained to facilitate social and labor integration.

Through these courses, integrated in the "Project Work: A step towards the employability, facilitating the social integration of people who are at risk of social exclusion through the job search.

As explained by the communication manager of the Collective "The Candle," Eva Maria Leon, the project funded by the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), focuses on the group of populations at high risk and social situation exclusion.

These activities seek to identify barriers to the labor market, acquiring skills for job search.

However, during the three years that this project has been running have been a total of 198 participants in training or career guidance, with the result of 69 job placements and connection of these people with 110 companies.

The mayor of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, has praised the work carried out by the Collective "The Candle", which thanks to the professionals working in this organization and through this project, about 150 people have been trained and have acquired techniques achieve a better quality of life through quality employment.

For his part, Mayor of Totana thanked the cooperation of companies in Totana who have worked on the project by helping students acquire the knowledge necessary to develop different activities.

He has also stressed the importance of each of the estates that make the project work will be developed in the municipality, from "The Candle", the departments of Welfare and Employment, the regional government and local entrepreneurs, who have received recognition for their work on this project.

However, the mayor has emphasized that this project will keep going thanks to the Instituto Murciano Social Action will continue betting the same way for the achievement of these actions, which are reaping so successful.
