The Mayor of Totana and the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Immigration signed a cooperation agreement amounting to 175,245 euros (05/05/2010)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, have signed a collaboration agreement for an amount of EUR 175,245 in social assistance and promotion and integration of disabled people to address the occupational activities and maintenance of Early Warning Center Totana, in the Hall of Residence San Basilio de Murcia.

According to the resolution adopted, the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration granted through an agreement, this sum of money, and the city of Totana provide the amount of 124,215 euros, which will go to the Centre for Early Care and Occupational Center "José Moya" the municipality, both situated in the street Way Antigor.

By signing this agreement, as stated by the mayor, to prove once more the good relations between the regional government and the city of Totana, and which has remained the same quantity to Totana social policy and thus ensures successful as important services for families totaneras such as the Early Care and Occupational Center.

The agreement's aim is to satisfy social needs, making effective the right of citizens to enjoy basic levels of available social services and have to seek to satisfy their social needs, promoting and enhancing the performance of programs that expand existing services to people with disabilities, enhance motor and mental development and improve the quality of life for children under six years, improving their living conditions.

The grant is divided into two similar items that will address training and maintenance activities in both the early and focus on the occupational center.

The early focus of Totana offers a set of therapeutic interventions directed to children under six years, their families and the environment to respond as soon as possible to the treatment needs, temporary or permanent, who have children with any developmental disorder, be it physical, mental or sensory impairment, or who are at risk biological or social.

On the other hand, the occupational center for people with intellectual disability, which has 34 users, enables career development, personal and social development of the mercy of people to overcome their obstacles that disability is in employment and social integration.
